The Problem
Bear Creek was adjacent to the perimeter of this proposed project. Significant flooding problems have been associated with this creek for decades. The client believed that without the reclamation of the lots along the perimeter, the project would not be profitable.
Project
18-acre Site – Villas of Fossil Creek Residential – Fort Worth
The Solution
Prepare a Conditional Letter of Map Revision (CLOMR) and submit to the FEMA for their approval to reclaim the floodplain fringe.
Result: Client was able to reclaim all of the desired lots along the creek perimeter for a marginal cost to fill this associated area. This provided the client with the highest value lots along the perimeter which overlook the natural creek area.
